27yr old Ravi Shankar Singh is one player who has been playing club cricket since many years in Mumbai. As an all-rounder who bowls fast medium and also chips in with crucial cameos at the middle order, he has performed well in top division tournaments in Mumbai’s Club Cricket. Ravi Shankar has an experience of over 10 years as a professional cricketer beginning with appearing in DSO (District Sports Office) & MSSA (Mumbai School Sports Association) tournaments in 2010-11. Ravi Shankar has represented many clubs right from Star Cricket Club, Challengers Cricket Club and Spring Sports Field.  Apart from that, Ravi Shankar has also played for 7 years in Mumbai University Tournament.

– Was amongst the emerging all-rounders in MCA Organized Cosmopolian Shield Tournament in 2020 representing Star Cricket Club with best bowling figures of 4/30 in 5.5 overs.

– 10 wkts in 5 matches and also leading the Real Cricket Academy team in Tournament organized by 40+ Belapur Sports Cricket Association in 2020

– 6 wkts in 3 matches @8.00 & econ of 4.36 in Homeground Cricket Cup organized by Former India Blue and IPL Player Paul Valthaty. Also was Man of the Match in finals of the Tournament.

– 3/13 in 4 overs playing in Mumbai University Tournament, 2016, (Nirmala Memorial College vs L.S Raheja College)

– 2/15 in 6 overs with 2 maidens in Mumbai Cricket Association Tournament, 2018 ( Challengers Cricket Club vs Shapur Spencer Cricket Club)

As a Coach:

Cricket is a competitive field and you have to be at the top of your game all the time, to survive in such a competitive environment, you have to provide an extra edge and that’s what Ravi Shankar has also done with his cricket career. Ravi is an ICC Level 2 Certified Cricket Coach and currently works as a Cricket Coach at Cricket Academy of Pathans in Gujarat.

As a cricket coach, he has close to 7+ years of experience wherein he began with working at Poinsur Gymkhana, Mumbai. In mid 2015, Ravi got an opportunity to work with a firm called Marcos Quay Sporting Excellence Pvt Ltd as a Cricket Coach. To enhance his coaching experience, Ravi applied for ICC level 1 certification which further gave him the opportunity to work with County level players in the year 2017.

In 2017, Ravi also got assignment to work with Domestic & IPL level players like Lalit Yadav, Sachin Katariya, Anirudh Chore, Yash Thakur amongst others. With his continued progression in the field of coaching, Ravi also got opportunity to work with Umesh Patwal who is the former batting consultant of Afghanistan Cricket Team and Head coach of Nepal Cricket team. Umesh Patwal is also the founder of Ithinksportz Academy. In 2018-19, Ravi also worked with one of the top cricket clubs of Mumbai: Payyade Sports Club adding one more feather to his cap.

In 2019, Ravi was appointed as the Academy Head Coach in Dheeraj Jadhav Cricket Academy at Dr. BabaSaheb Ambedkar Stadium Baramati, Pune. Ravi got to work with with Former Indian Cricketer Dheeraj Jhadhav with whom he gained rich experience and learnings. It was after that, he was motivated to up the game as he applied for ICC level 2 Certification in Dubai and successfully completed it in 2020. Apart from that, Ravi has also completed Level 1 program as an Australia Strength & Conditioning Coach.

With more than a decade of experience as a cricketer himself, Ravi loves and understands the game in and out while with so many certifications, Ravi has proved that he possesses the right cricketing acumen to coach young as well as upcoming professional cricketers at various verticals.
