The Rotaract Club of Hinduja College in association with Shiv Shakti Foundation which works towards empowering transgender community recently hosted the highly anticipated Justice League event, a vibrant celebration of inclusivity and empowerment. Held on March 21, 2024, within the college premises, the event showcased the talents of participants from diverse backgrounds of the transgender community, who came together to advocate for their rights.
Judged by Sanket Sawant, also known as “Gentleman Gaga,” and Navya Singh, the event provided a platform for participants to share their stories and messages of empowerment. Through mesmerizing performances including Shayaris, poems, and speeches, attendees were reminded of the shared humanity that unites us all, while also shedding light on the struggles and triumphs of the transgender community.
Beyond entertainment, the Justice League served as a forum for education and advocacy, addressing issues such as discrimination and the importance of inclusivity. Lavani and Kathak’s performances highlighted India’s cultural richness and the strength found in diversity.
Shabo Shaikh won the ‘Winner Justice League’ title, with Jayu securing the first runner-up position and Nikita Bandre claiming the second runner-up title.
Vicky Shinde, founder of Shivshakti Foundation was presented with an award to express our appreciation and gratitude for their support.
Both judges praised the participants for their courage and creativity, emphasizing the event’s role in promoting social change. Justice League left attendees inspired and eager to continue the conversation, reaffirming the importance of embracing diversity for a more equitable and inclusive future.
