
Chhattisgarh opting to bat first at CAP Ground 2 posted a 1st innings total of 162 runs in 59 overs. Most of their batters gave starts but could not convert it onto substantial scores with Shahnawaz’s 43* being the highest score. From the bowlers, Sagar Udeshi and Ankit Sharma with 4wkts each were the pick of the lot.

Puducherry in reply were cleaned up for just 37 runs with Ajay Mandal bagging a brilliant fifer. Ajay took 7 wkts for just 7 runs in his spell of 11.2 overs which included 6 maidens. Chhattisgarh in their 2nd innings scored 184 runs in 42.1 overs. Even though, Chhattisgarh’s top order faced a collapse in 2nd innings but it was their experienced Skipper Harpreet Singh Bhatia contributing with a very crucial half century. Harpreet who has been piling on runs like a run machine continued to showcase his class this time scoring a well fought 63 off just 86 balls.
Harpreet also stitched a crucial stand of 96 runs with Shashank Singh who scored 56 off 65 balls. Puducherry with a target of 309 runs were all out for 177 runs with Ajay once again returning with a searing spell of 6/56 as Chhattisgarh won the match outright by 132 runs
